Presentation
IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards, are the set of accounting framework standards on the European market. This course will teach you to carry out the different stages of your accounting in accordance with IFRS requirements.
Objectives
This IFRS course enables practitioners who have already completed level 1, "Essentials of IFRS", to successfully prepare consolidated accounts or audit accounts under IFRS using the standards studied. The approach combines lessons, case studies and multiple-choice questions.

- The challenges of standard-setting: IFRS in Europe, IFRS worldwide and the IFRS of tomorrow
- Using Excel financial functions
Fundamental principles and presentation standards
- Introduction to the conceptual framework: objectives, characteristics and measurement of financial statements
- Mandatory financial statements (IAS 1 and IFRIC 1): difficulties, principles and methods, notes
- The cash flow statement (IAS 7): overview, presentation and disclosures in the notes
Examining the balance sheet
- Assets
- Property, plant and equipment (IAS 16): recognition, derecognition, determining cost and depreciation
- Impairment of assets (IAS 36): impairment tests, recognition of impairment losses, economic crisis and impairment
- Intangible assets (IAS 38): recognition, determining cost and amortisation
- Inventory valuation (IAS 2): determining cost, valuation at period-end and inventory issues
- Liabilities
- Provisions, contingent liabilities and contingent assets (IAS 37): provisions for fixed assets, restructuring provisions and other provisions for risks and expenses
- Leases (IAS 17 and IFRIC 4): definition, classification and accounting by the lessor and lessee
