Module 1: exploring web services and REST (1 day)
Understand web service and REST API fundamentals, HTTP methods and JSON and XML formats while exploring a REST API with Postman.
- Introducing web services: SOAP versus REST.
- REST API principles: statelessness, cacheability and layered systems.
- HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT and DELETE) and response codes such as 200 and 404.
- JSON and XML data formats.

- Send simple REST API requests through Postman.
Module 2: using Postman (1 day)
Master Postman basics for sending and managing HTTP requests, working with headers, parameters and payloads, and writing simple response validation scripts.
