This category connects requests, application logic and responses sent to a browser while distinguishing framework generations and application architectures. The name alone does not establish whether a course concerns an older application or a newer stack.

Studying ASP.NET web applications requires understanding routing, validation and error handling. An exercise should show how data is received, checked and returned. Confirm the .NET version, programming language and development model studied; examples from different framework generations cannot always be used interchangeably.
