Certification BPMN 2 Foundation
BPMN 2 Foundation concerns the basic use of Business Process Model and Notation to describe business processes. It helps professionals communicate the sequence of activities, events, decisions and interactions in a consistent visual language.
Start with a simple real-world process and identify its participants, boundaries and expected result. Build a model that explains what happens and under which conditions, then review it with the people who perform the work. Consistent notation makes discussion easier but does not replace knowledge of the process.
Process modelling preparation should include checking the meaning of gateways, events and flows rather than relying only on the appearance of a diagram. Practise distinguishing a readable model from one that is incomplete or ambiguous.
This catalogue entry concerns foundational learning. Confirm the selected training programme, assessment provider and requirements with OO2 before booking; a foundation-level course does not automatically qualify someone to design every type of process model.
