Certification CDCP® : Certified Data Centre Professional
CDCP® : Certified Data Centre Professional addresses the essential components of a data centre. This EPI pathway examines infrastructure supporting service availability, including power, cooling, cabling and physical protection. It connects equipment with its purpose and considers how interactions affect the operation of the facility.
Relevant preparation can compare operating situations and identify dependencies that are not immediately visible. The aim is to understand why a well-performing component is insufficient when the wider chain contains a weakness. Coherent technical infrastructure is therefore a useful theme throughout learning. Training should reflect the participant's experience and responsibilities. The knowledge developed can support discussions with design and operations teams, but certification of a person does not certify the facility itself. Examples should help learners ask meaningful questions about availability and maintenance rather than assume that the presence of equipment proves resilience.
