Archimate® 3 Foundation focuses on architecture modelling foundations. The subject area includes ArchiMate concepts, relationships and viewpoints.

Model a small situation and explain why each element and relationship is appropriate. The learning goal is to communicate architecture consistently, not simply to memorise graphical symbols.

Preparing for this pathway starts with your professional context. A useful preparation plan connects the terminology with a realistic professional situation. Identify the decision to be made, compare the available evidence and explain the reasoning behind the action selected. Explain the result to a colleague to check that the reasoning is understandable as well as technically sound.
