Presentation

Mastering the complete lifecycle of AWS cloud infrastructure is now essential: deploying repeatable environments in one click, automating, monitoring, securing and troubleshooting them smoothly. This intensive 3-day course immerses you in AWS best practices, from initial setup to continuous optimisation, so you can orchestrate reliable, scalable and fully automated networks and systems.

This intermediate-level programme takes you through 14 modules exploring the operational excellence pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. You will learn to manage access to AWS resources, deploy and automate resources, and configure highly available systems. The course also covers system health monitoring, data security, storage management and cost optimisation, with numerous labs.

By the end of the course, you will have developed operational expertise to manage and optimise your AWS cloud environments. You will know how to implement automated deployment strategies, configure resilient architectures and monitor system performance.

Objectives

By the end of this AWS cloud course, you will be able to:

  • identify AWS services relevant to operational excellence in line with the Well-Architected Framework;
  • manage access to AWS resources using accounts, organisations and IAM;
  • maintain an accurate cloud resource inventory with tools such as AWS Systems Manager and AWS Config;
  • develop effective deployment strategies using tagging, AMIs and AWS Control Tower;
  • automate resource deployment through services such as AWS CloudFormation and AWS Service Catalog;
  • master cloud operations (CloudOps) lifecycle management, including deployments and patching;
  • configure highly available cloud environments using Amazon Route 53 and Elastic Load Balancing;
  • set up automatic scaling with AWS Auto Scaling and Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling to adapt to demand;
  • monitor the cloud environment using Amazon CloudWatch and its reporting capabilities;
  • audit permissions and track cloud activity with AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config;
  • deploy and secure resources in an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), ensuring connectivity and resilience;
  • understand and use mountable storage (EBS) and object storage (S3, S3 Glacier) options on AWS;
  • create a cloud cost management model for collecting, optimising and forecasting expenditure.
