The aim of this 3-day course is to give you techniques and tools to improve your oral communication. You will learn to express yourself effectively in front of colleagues, improve your language skills, find your own style and manage stress and fears associated with public speaking.
This public speaking course is ideal for all managers. You may be a manager seeking to motivate a team, a salesperson seeking to persuade customers, or a communications manager required to speak publicly and keen to improve your wording and posture .

Day 1: preparing to speak
- Prepare yourself psychologically for speaking.
- How does your own stress manifest itself?
- Control stage fright through relaxation techniques.
- Define the objectives of your speech.
- Identify your main target audience.
- Arrange your room and set up the necessary tools.
- Manage speaking time during your speech.
- Practise to improve and find your communication style.
- Develop enthusiasm (posture, smiling and positive thinking).
Practical exercises: manage your emotions and develop self-awareness.
Day 2: communication when speaking in public
- Why and how should you communicate effectively?
- Define your way of speaking (pace, style, volume and tone).
- Identify your physical behaviour when speaking (posture, gestures, proximity, smiling and eye contact).
- Use the right words and expressions.
- Avoid overly archaic language.
- Discover your own communication approach.
- Manage your emotions.
- Encourage active listening to respond more effectively.
- Enhance your professional image (appearance).
- Use moments of silence to breathe calmly.
- Work on breath control and breathing.
- Become aware of the 9 communication filters.
Practical exercises: reading and interpreting a speech.
Day 3: public speaking content
- Recall the fundamentals and gather information.
- Structure your speech.
- Inform, explain and persuade through an educational approach.
- Ask questions and rephrase what others say.
- Develop your listening skills and respond calmly to arguments.
- Learn to stay composed when faced with another person's comments.
- Manage disruptive behaviour from others.
- Become aware of how you manage your emotions.
- Distribute visual aids to communicate better (table, chart, pictogram, PowerPoint document or video recording).
Practical exercises: a 5-minute speech to the other participants. It will be prepared in advance, recorded, viewed and analysed as a group.
