Presentation
AWS offers an extensive portfolio of storage services, each with unique capabilities for retaining, accessing and protecting your data. This 3-day course guides you through when, where and how to make the most of these offerings.
The intermediate-level programme takes you from an introduction to cloud storage and well-architected solution design through to implementing object storage (S3) and block storage (EBS). You will also explore file storage (EFS, FSx), hybrid solutions, data transfer to AWS, and backup and disaster recovery strategies. Each module includes practical workshops to build concrete understanding of the concepts covered.
By the end of this AWS course, you will have developed specialist expertise in designing and implementing AWS storage solutions. You will be able to select and configure resources suited to application and business needs, move data efficiently and protect it at rest and in transit. You will also know how to monitor, automate and optimise cloud storage solutions according to cost, scalability and performance requirements.
Objectives
By the end of this AWS cloud storage course, you will be able to:
- understand the benefits of essential AWS storage services and their primary use cases;
- design and select AWS storage solutions suited to application and business needs;
- configure storage resources to interact with the AWS service ecosystem;
- select the best methods for transferring data between on-premises infrastructure and the AWS cloud;
- design storage architectures that protect data at rest and in transit;
- implement monitoring and observability for cloud storage to analyse access patterns and efficiency.
- optimise and size storage solutions according to cost, scalability and performance requirements.
