Amid technological change, including AI and digitalisation, the quality of social dialogue is becoming a key indicator of sustainable performance. This course strengthens the interpersonal capabilities of employee representative bodies so that they become a pillar of collective intelligence within the organisation.
This 2-day programme combines theory (50%) and practice (50%). You will explore the applicable legal framework, representatives' status and negotiation techniques. Case studies and scenarios help embed conflict management and dispute-resolution methods.
The aim is to equip employee representatives with the essential skills to safeguard workers' rights and maintain a healthy workplace climate. You will leave prepared to engage in constructive, strategic dialogue, including on complex issues such as AI at work.

- Employers' obligations regarding the operation of representative bodies.
- The election process: conditions, term length and end of mandate.
- The status, function and legal protection of staff and trade union representatives.
Module 2: Managing disputes and collective conflicts
Managing individual and collective disputes
- Structuring the presentation of grievances and demands to the employer.
- Conditions and procedures for presenting grievances.
- The labour inspectorate's conciliation role in disputes.
- Available avenues of appeal against labour inspectorate decisions.
Resolving workplace conflicts
- Identifying workplace conflict types.
- Applying conflict management techniques through mediation.
- Exploring alternative methods for resolving employment disputes.
