Presentation
Developed by Microsoft, Excel is a widely used spreadsheet tool for analysing, calculating and visualising data. Excel skills are in demand across most organisations. This course teaches you to use its features and reach an operational level in a business environment.
Objectives
This course covers in detail the features needed to create tables and charts in Excel. It is intended for anyone seeking operational proficiency.
After exploring the interface, including the ribbon and File tab, participants learn to create, save and open workbooks. They discover techniques for entering and editing data, including numbers, dates, data series and Flash Fill.
The course then covers simple calculations, such as sums, percentages, statistics and due dates, using Excel's calculation functions. Participants learn to edit cells, copy and move data, sort tables, change their structure by adding or removing rows and columns, and manage their worksheets.
Participants also learn to use Excel's formatting features, including fonts, number and date formats, colours, borders and styles, before adjusting page layout, margins, headers and footers for printing.
Excel offers powerful charting capabilities. Participants learn to create and format the main chart types, including line, column and pie charts.
