Presentation
Non-technical employees remain prime targets for cyberattacks, exposing organisations to phishing, data theft and account compromise. Fortinet NSE 1 and NSE 2 validate foundational awareness of business cybersecurity challenges.
This one-day course covers information security fundamentals, social engineering techniques and types of malware, together with an introduction to next-generation firewalls. Each module combines learning content with scenarios accessible to everyone.
By the end of the course, you will be able to identify the main threats to your computer network and adopt effective everyday security habits. You will also be prepared to take the online NSE 1 and NSE 2 assessments included in our offer (see the certification tab for details).
Objectives
By the end of this NSE 1 & 2 course, you will achieve the following learning objectives:
- explain cybersecurity and the fundamental principles of information security;
- identify different types of malicious hackers, their methods and the countermeasures used against them;
- list the main social engineering techniques used to compromise users;
- recognise types of malware and how they spread within a network;
- understand next-generation firewall fundamentals and their role in network security;
- prepare for and complete the online Fortinet NSE 1 and NSE 2 certification assessments.

Module 1: understanding cybersecurity fundamentals (NSE 1)

Module 2: discovering next-generation firewalls (NSE 2)

Module 3: preparing for NSE 1 and NSE 2 assessments
- Completing the self-assessment quizzes associated with each online module.
