Presentation
A company's supply chain or logistics chain is often highly complex. It can therefore be exposed to various risks with significant consequences. In this context, the international standard ISO 28000 defines requirements for a security management system.
The ISO 28000 Foundation course introduces the basic principles of establishing and managing a supply chain security management system compliant with ISO 28000. You will explore SCSMS components such as policy, procedures, performance measurement, management commitment, internal audits, management review and continual improvement.
At the end of the programme, you will also take an examination leading to the PECB Certified ISO 28000 Foundation credential. This individual certification demonstrates your understanding of the fundamental methods, requirements, framework and management approach of ISO 28000.
Objectives
By the end of the ISO 28000 Foundation course, you will be able to:
- identify and understand how a supply chain security management system operates;
- understand the relationships between ISO 28000:2022 and other regulations;
- explore approaches and techniques for implementing and managing an SCSMS;
- pass the examination and obtain your PECB ISO 28000 Foundation certification.
Program
Day 1: SCSMS and ISO 28000 fundamentals
- Introduction to a supply chain security management system under ISO 28000:2022.
Day 2: requirements for an SCSMS compliant with ISO 28000
- Understanding ISO 28000 requirements for establishing a supply chain security management system.
Final half-day:
- ISO 28000 Foundation certification examination (duration: 1 hour).
