ISO 55001 has evolved. Ten years after its first edition, ISO 55001:2024 introduces major changes to address today's challenges, including sustainability, climate change and a more comprehensive approach to asset lifecycle management.
The ISO 55001 Transition course enables professionals already familiar with the standard to update their knowledge. This intensive 2-day course details the differences between the 2014 and 2024 editions, analysing the new requirements clause by clause.
This course also prepares you for the PECB Certified ISO 55001:2024 Transition certification examination (find out more in the Certification tab). This credential validates your ability to lead the transition of an existing Asset Management System (AMS) to the new edition of the standard.
Objectives
By the end of this PECB ISO 55001 Transition course, you will be able to:
- explain the fundamental differences between ISO 55001:2014 and ISO 55001:2024;
- interpret the new concepts, requirements and recommendations in the 2024 edition;
- plan the implementation of necessary changes within an existing Asset Management System;

Module 1: Understand the framework and challenges of ISO 55001:2024
