This intensive two-day course introduces the standards framework for a PIMS (Privacy Information Management System) and explains how it aligns with information security to protect personal data effectively.
The programme explores the requirements of ISO/IEC 27701:2025, dedicated to privacy management. Although it aligns with information security under ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the latter is not a mandatory prerequisite. You will learn to identify relationships between standards, understand PII controller and processor roles, and map the practical stages of implementing a compliant, effective management system.

Objectives
By the end of this ISO/IEC 27701 Foundation course, you will achieve the following competency objectives:
