Accredited training for the Certified Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TTA) certification.

Presentation

Qualified testers can now take on the tasks and responsibilities of the technical test analyst. Oo2 Training offers the techniques, concepts and knowledge needed to advance your testing career. ISTQB®-certified Technical Test Analyst training is the logical next step for experienced specialists who thoroughly understand software testing fundamentals and have completed ISTQB Foundation certification training.

This 4-day program focuses on the technical aspects of test analysis: producing technical testing reports, selecting and implementing appropriate structure-, defect- and experience-based design methods, and creating test cases to analyse software data. Learning these techniques and working with tools through hands-on exercises helps you understand the more complex aspects of the technical test analyst role.

At the end of the course, you will take the official Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst (TTA) exam established by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.

Objectives

By the end of the ISTQB® Technical Test Analyst course, you should be able to:

  • understand and summarise activities required in risk analysis;
  • create test scenarios against a specific criterion using statement testing, MC/DC and McCabe-Thiele methods to achieve a given degree of coverage;
  • understand API testing implementation and the types of issues identified;
  • determine an appropriate white-box testing procedure for a specific project;
  • describe and use control flow analysis to identify program control flow defects;
  • suggest ways to optimise code availability using static analysis;
  • describe the role of call graphs in establishing integration testing strategies;
  • use dynamic analysis to achieve a concrete result;
  • analyse non-functional criteria and develop the relevant test plan elements for a specific project and system under test;
  • define the most appropriate non-functional test types for a specific software product risk;
  • understand and explain application life cycle phases requiring non-functional testing;
  • identify defect types found through non-functional testing for a given case;
  • analyse a technical design and identify defects against a checklist established in the software program;
  • outline technical test analyst tasks within a test automation project;
  • describe the purposes of software used to support mobile application testing;
  • pass the Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst (TTA) exam and earn ISTQB® Technical Test Analyst certification.
