Presentation
Emotions play a fundamental role in our behaviour, decisions and professional relationships. When poorly understood, they can generate stress and conflict. Learning to manage them helps improve the quality of interactions and foster a calm working environment.
This 2-day course offers an introspective and practical approach to emotional intelligence. You will learn to identify your emotional triggers and apply practical emotional regulation techniques, including breathing and centring.
The aim is to equip you to manage your own emotions and respond to those of others. You will leave with tools to acknowledge other people's emotions, using active listening and nonviolent communication, and develop an empathetic, considerate approach to your interactions.
Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- recognise and name your emotions, including joy, anger, fear and sadness, to understand them better;
- identify emotional triggers at work, such as sources of stress and challenges to your values, and their impact on relationships;
- regulate your emotions and acute or chronic stress using practical techniques such as breathing, centring and cognitive reframing;
