Microsoft Azure has become a leading cloud platform for businesses deploying and administering IT infrastructure. For an Azure administrator, expertise in identity, governance, storage, compute resources and virtual networks is now essential in the IT market.
This 5-day pathway combines two complementary certification programmes. The first day focuses on Microsoft Azure fundamentals (AZ-900): cloud concepts, Azure architecture, core services and governance. The following 4 days develop Azure administration skills: identity management with Microsoft Entra ID, storage, virtual machines, virtual networks, resource monitoring and backup.
By the end of the pathway, you will master the administration of an enterprise Azure environment. You will also be ready to take the official AZ-104 examination included in our offer, leading to Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification (see the Certification tab for details).
Objectives
By the end of this Azure Administrator Associate course, you will be able to:
- describe cloud computing fundamentals, Azure architecture and core services (AZ-900);
- describe Azure security, governance, privacy and compliance capabilities, cost management and service-level agreements (AZ-900);
- manage Azure identities and governance with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and Azure Policy;
- implement and manage Azure storage: storage accounts, blobs, file shares and redundancy options;
- configure, deploy and manage virtual machines, AKS containers and Azure App Service;
- implement and manage Azure virtual networks: VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateway and Azure DNS;
- monitor resources using Azure Monitor and protect them with Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery;
- prepare for and pass AZ-104 to earn Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.

Prerequisites
This course requires:
- Technical skills: experience in systems and network administration, including virtualisation, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs and firewalls. The AZ-900 section covers Azure fundamentals for less experienced participants.
- Theoretical foundations: general IT knowledge and familiarity with Windows Server or Linux environments.
- Professional experience: experience with Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI is an advantage but is not required to start the course.
