Presentation
Microsoft Fabric is Microsoft’s unified data analytics platform, bringing ingestion, storage through OneLake, transformation and analysis into a single environment. Organisations therefore need data engineers capable of designing robust, secure, high-performing solutions on this new platform.
This course develops the skills to implement and manage data engineering solutions with Microsoft Fabric. Learn to configure analytical workspaces, ingest and transform batch and streaming data, and monitor and optimise production data solutions.
After the program, you will be ready to take the DP-700 examination, included in our offering. Passing it earns Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification (see the Certification tab for details).
Please note: this course replaces “DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure”, retired on 31 December 2025.

Prerequisites
The following background is recommended:
- Data engineering knowledge: an understanding of data loading patterns, data architectures and orchestration processes.
- Azure service experience: familiarity with Azure, particularly data services, is an advantage.
- Programming fundamentals: basic SQL and ideally PySpark knowledge for practical Fabric notebook work.
- English: course materials and the examination are in English only, so strong reading comprehension is highly recommended.
