Presentation
Originating in Japan, the 5S method is a systematic approach to optimising workspaces and improving productivity. It rests on 5 key principles: sort (Seiri), set in order (Seiton), shine (Seiso), standardise (Seiketsu) and sustain (Shitsuke). Implementing 5S helps businesses reduce waste, improve quality and strengthen workshop safety. Although originally developed for industry, it can be adapted to any working environment.
This course helps you master 5S fundamentals and apply them in your workplace. Through theoretical and practical modules, you will learn to identify and eliminate unnecessary waste, organise your workspace effectively, establish rigorous cleaning routines, standardise good practices and sustain results.
To put your learning into context, you will have the opportunity to visit a site that has implemented 5S. This immersion helps you observe good practices and identify potential improvements. You will also receive personalised support to develop an action plan suited to your professional context. By the end of the course, you will be able to lead 5S projects within your company and actively contribute to continuous process improvement.
