Presentation
Agility cannot simply be mandated; it must be built. For an agile transformation to succeed, Scrum teams need active support from leaders and managers. This requires a change in approach: moving from a controlling manager to a leader who serves their teams, aligns objectives and removes obstacles.
This 2-day course, led by a Professional Scrum Trainer, immerses you in the agile leadership role. Through collaborative exercises, discussions and workshops using Miro/Mural, you will learn to adapt your management style to foster autonomy and accountability.
The aim is to equip you to create a high-performing environment and support your agile teams. You will leave ready to facilitate the necessary cultural changes and take the official Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) examination, included in the course (see the Certification tab for details).

Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Module 1: Understanding and applying the Scrum framework

- The importance of the Definition of Done and technical quality.
- Managing product delivery and reducing obstacles.
Module 5: Evolving the agile organisation
- The leader's role in removing organisational obstacles such as silos and processes.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Module 6: Defining organisational design and culture
- Analysing organisational structure's impact on agile performance.
- Creating the conditions for team success through autonomy and trust.
Module 7: Leading through Evidence-Based Management
- Measuring value and outcomes through Key Value Areas.
- Using EBM data to guide continuous improvement.
Audience
This course is intended for managers and leaders responsible for introducing and embedding agile practices in their organisations, including:
- executives and senior managers supporting agile transformation and adapting their leadership approach to sustain it;
- managers and leaders responsible for developing Scrum teams' capabilities and performance to enable autonomy;
- Scrum Masters and Product Owners acting as agile team leaders and collaborating with management to remove obstacles;
- transformation leaders overseeing the introduction and embedding of agile practices.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites apply:
- Professional experience: experience in an Agile or Scrum environment is strongly recommended. This course is intended for leaders, including managers, executives, Scrum Masters and Product Owners, who need to lead transformation rather than discover it.
- Basic knowledge:
- a fundamental understanding of Scrum is an advantage;
- good English reading comprehension is essential, as the examination and official materials are in English.
