Presentation
Results-Based Management (RBM), known in French as Gestion Axée sur les Résultats (GAR), is a management approach focused on performance and achieving results. It contrasts with traditional approaches centred on monitoring activities or resources. It frames an organisation's work from a strategic rather than procedural perspective, making resource allocation and the definition and management of activities subordinate to results.
RBM therefore rests on a set of principles and reasoning that guide the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of interventions in a cycle where each stage has specific methods and tools. As it is an approach rather than simply a collection of tools, the training programme and method aim to build understanding of concepts and practical skills, rather than merely transmit theoretical knowledge.
The modules in our RBM course therefore alternate theory and practical exercises. Through constant interaction between you and our trainers, the course allows you to practise the different stages of RBM and develop practical and interpersonal skills.
