In a volatile business environment, enterprise architecture is no longer a theoretical discipline but a strategic driver of transformation. This intensive 2-day course goes beyond conceptual knowledge to develop practical enterprise architecture expertise. You will learn to navigate complex systems and align technology sustainably with business objectives.
The programme takes a pragmatic approach based on Learning Studies and complex scenarios aligned with the 10th edition of the TOGAF® standard. Through realistic exercises, you will use ADM tools to scope projects, manage stakeholders and design appropriate solutions. You will learn to avoid methodological rigidity by applying the scoping principle to produce only value-adding deliverables.
By the end of the programme, you will have the knowledge needed to take the certification exam for TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner (Level 2). Completing the case studies successfully during training also makes you eligible for the Applied Practitioner badge, recognising your ability to operationalise the standard in a professional setting.

Objectives

- justify architectural choices in complex scenarios requiring trade-offs;
- prepare for and pass the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certification exam by mastering the required skills and knowledge.

Module 1: strategic scoping and business architecture development
- Adapting the ADM cycle and configuring the Architecture Repository.
- Stakeholder analysis and communication strategy, using views and viewpoints.
- Developing the Architecture Vision and validating guiding principles.
- Developing Business Architecture (Phase B): capabilities and value streams.
Practical exercises
- Create a Power/Interest matrix to map key stakeholders.
- Design a business capability diagram to identify priority transformation areas.
Module 2: systems architecture and transition planning
- Developing Information Systems Architectures: data and applications.
- Technology Architecture and using the Technical Reference Model (TRM).
- Gap Analysis to identify new, retained or removed components.
- Consolidating Opportunities and Solutions (Phase E) and defining migration strategies.
- Creating a roadmap and prioritising by business value.
Case studies
- Perform a complete gap analysis for a complex merger and acquisition scenario.
- Structure Work Packages for a transition roadmap.
Module 3: governance, change management and certification
- Implementing Architecture Governance (Phase G) and Architecture Contracts.
- Change Management (Phase H): distinguishing a simple change from a new ADM iteration.
- Managing requirements throughout the lifecycle.
- Integrating agile and digital practices within TOGAF.
Practical exercises & exam preparation
- Simulate an architecture compliance review for a project deviation.
- Take a complete mock exam in French using complex scenarios, with detailed analysis of answers and gradient scoring.
- Advice and tips for passing the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Practitioner exam.

The following prerequisites apply:
