Developed by IBM, AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive) belongs to the broad family of UNIX operating systems. It stands out for its very high performance, high security and reliability. AIX is compatible with IBM hardware platforms and offers many features, including dynamic hardware resource allocation, workload partitioning and advanced security functions. It is an ideal choice for running mission-critical enterprise applications.
In this introductory course, you will learn AIX system basics. You will discover how it works and its characteristics, and become familiar with file and directory management, writing simple shell scripts, using the Vi editor, running commands and much more.
This programme provides the fundamental practical skills essential for any beginner UNIX user and required for further IBM AIX training.
