Presentation
In application development, Docker is an open-source platform that simplifies deployment through containers. It offers the flexibility and portability to run applications in different environments. More than a tool, Docker is a reference solution for development and an alternative to virtual machines, used daily by many start-ups.
Our 3-day course develops the foundational skills to work effectively with Docker. You will explore containers, features and the environment, learning to install Docker, create containers and images, manage data volumes and more.
By the end of the course, you will also know how to create and debug custom containers, manage images and run modern applications across multiple containers. You will master container administration and use production deployment features while applying Docker good practices.
Objectives
By the end of the Docker course, you will be able to:
- understand how software containers work;
- explore Docker technology, including its benefits, architecture, modules and available versions;
- understand Docker terminology and fundamentals;
- install and configure Docker and create a virtual container;
- create custom Docker images and containers;
- manage persistent storage and data;
- understand and administer Docker networking;
- define and run multi-container applications with Docker Compose;
- implement container clustering and orchestration;
- use appropriate tools and apply Docker production good practices.
