A humanitarian supply chain encompasses all the logistics activities required to deliver the goods and services needed by people affected by a crisis. The challenge is to provide an effective and rapid response to humanitarian needs while respecting the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence.

This course develops the skills needed to establish and effectively manage a supply chain in the complex and dynamic environment of humanitarian relief operations. It addresses the specific challenges encountered in this context, emphasising the flexibility and responsiveness required to meet the changing needs of crisis-affected populations. 

The program covers needs identification and resource mobilisation, storage, transport and related activities. Its main aim is to provide rapid and effective assistance to people in need while ensuring coordination between the various stakeholders involved.
