The performance of an Asset Management System (AMS) depends on rigorous, independent evaluation. The ISO 55001 Lead Auditor course is an intensive programme designed to develop professionals into audit experts capable of verifying the compliance and effectiveness of asset management processes against ISO 55001:2024 and ISO 19011:2018.
This 4.5-day programme equips you with the technical and interpersonal skills to plan, lead and close internal or external audits. Through practical exercises and case studies, you will learn to identify gaps, assess risks and formulate strategic recommendations for the organisation.

Day 1: understanding the AMS and the challenges of ISO 55001

Day 3: conducting on-site audit activities
- Communicating effectively during the audit and managing conflict situations.
- Collecting and verifying audit evidence through interviews and observation.
- Documenting audit findings and identifying nonconformities.
- Preparing audit conclusions.
Day 4: closing the audit and ensuring follow-up
- Writing the audit report and presenting it to management.
- Conducting the closing meeting.
- Monitoring corrective action plans and closing the assignment.
- Managing a complete audit programme.
Day 5 (half-day): preparing for the PECB ISO 55001 LA exam
- Review of key concepts and skills acquired throughout the course.
