Effective control of assets is a strategic driver of performance and profitability for any organisation. The ISO 55001 Lead Implementer course is designed to help you develop the expertise needed to support a company in implementing, managing and maintaining an Asset Management System (AMS) compliant with ISO 55001:2024.
This intensive 5-day programme guides you through every stage of the project: from initiation to certification, including policy definition, risk management and continual improvement. You will gain an in-depth understanding of best practices for optimising the asset life cycle.
This course also prepares you for the certification exam for PECB Certified ISO 55001 Lead Implementer (see the Certification tab for more information). This credential validates your ability to lead a compliance project and advise a company on its asset management strategy.
Objectives
By the end of this PECB course, you will be able to:

- Master the concepts, approaches, methods and techniques needed to implement and manage an effective AMS.

Day 1: understanding ISO 55001 challenges and initiating the AMS

Day 4: monitoring performance and preparing for the audit
- Monitoring, measuring, analysing and evaluating AMS performance.
- Internal audit and management review.
- Addressing nonconformities and continual improvement.
- Preparing for the certification audit.
Day 5 (half-day): preparing for the PECB ISO 55001 LI exam
- Review of key concepts and skills acquired throughout the course.
- Presentation of the exam structure and format.
- Advice and tips for passing the exam.
