Presentation
Recently published, ISO/IEC 27001 is now aligned with ISO/IEC 27002 as of February 2022. Most changes between ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 concern the information security controls in Annex A, while other minor changes affect the standard's clauses. In this context, it is important to note that ISO 27001:2022 differs from ISO 27001:2013. The latest version was published under the title Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection — Information security controls.
The PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Transition course provides a detailed overview of the revised clauses, terminology and changes to Annex A controls. It also develops advanced knowledge to guide organisations in planning and implementing changes to their ISMS. You will be able to contribute to transition projects that move an ISMS compliant with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 towards the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
Once you have mastered the new concepts and requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, you will take the official exam. Passing earns you the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Transition credential, demonstrating up-to-date knowledge and technical skills to implement a compliant ISMS successfully under the 2022 version of ISO 27001.
Objectives
By the end of the ISO 27001 Transition course, you will be able to:
- understand and describe the changes introduced by ISO/IEC 27001:2022;
- identify the principles and new requirements of ISO 27001:2022;
- plan and implement the required changes to an existing ISMS in line with the new specifications;
- pass the ISO 27001 Transition exam and earn PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Transition certification.

Day 1: overview and comparison of ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27001:2022
- Course objectives and features.
- ISO 27001 principles and the context in which the standard is applied.
- Overview of the specifications of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
- Changes to clauses 4 to 10 of ISO 27001.
Day 2: comparing Annex A controls in the 2 versions of ISO/IEC 27001
- Organisational controls.

Final half-day: PECB ISO 27001 Transition exam
