In this introductory course, you will discover how IT governance should be applied in a company. You will explore the basic concepts and methods applicable to this area under ISO/IEC 38500:2015. Supported by practical exercises based on real cases and quizzes, these lessons are ideal for anyone starting out in IT governance.
At the end of the programme, you will take the official ISO/IEC 38500 Foundation exam. Passing it enables you to earn the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 38500 Foundation credential. This certificate demonstrates your understanding of the basic methods, operating principles and IT management aspects.
Objectives
By the end of the ISO/IEC 38500 Foundation course, you will achieve the following objectives:

- pass the ISO 38500 Foundation exam and obtain the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 38500 Foundation credential.
Program
Day 1: IT governance fundamentals
- Understanding the concept of governance.
- Presentation of IT governance practices in accordance with ISO/IEC 38500.
Day 2: IT governance principles aligned with ISO 38500
- Presentation and understanding of IT governance rules.
Final half-day:
- Take the ISO 38500 Foundation certification exam (duration: 1 hour).
