With over 1 million certified organisations in 170 countries, it applies to every organisation, regardless of size or sector.
This 4.5-day course provides the knowledge and skills to support an organisation in establishing and managing a quality management system (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and its 2024 amendment on climate change. It uses PECB's IMS2 methodology and covers best practices for implementing, monitoring and continually improving a QMS.
By the end of the course, you will be ready to take the official PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer exam, included in our package. Depending on your professional experience, you can obtain one of the 4 PECB ISO 9001 Implementer certifications (see the certification tab for details).
Objectives
By completing this ISO 9001 Lead Implementer course, you will achieve the following learning objectives:
- Describe the fundamental concepts and principles of a quality management system (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and its 2024 amendment on climate change.
- Interpret ISO 9001:2015 requirements from the perspective of a QMS implementation manager.
- Plan and initiate QMS implementation using PECB's IMS2 methodology.
- Support an organisation in operating, maintaining and continually improving a QMS based on ISO 9001:2015.
- Prepare an organisation for a third-party ISO 9001 certification audit.
- Prepare for and pass the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer exam to obtain one of the 4 associated PECB certifications.

Day 1: introducing ISO 9001:2015 and initiating QMS implementation
- ISO standards, management systems and the ISO 9000 family.
- Fundamental quality and QMS concepts based on ISO 9001:2015 and its 2024 amendment on climate change.
- Introduction to QMS implementation with PECB's IMS2 methodology.

Day 4: monitoring, measuring and auditing the QMS

Day 5: improving the QMS and preparing for the certification audit

Final half-day
- Review of key points covered throughout the course.
- Detailed introduction to the two certification exams (structure, format and topics).
