Presentation
Imagine you need to learn to play football. Would you prefer to be coached by Senegalese international footballer Sadio Mané or Hervé Renard, a French player who became a coach? This question highlights an important point: mastering, practising and excelling at a sport does not mean knowing how to coach a player.
Similarly, becoming a professional trainer cannot be improvised. Success requires specific skills, knowledge, methods, attitudes and tools. Together, these create the right conditions to help participants learn effectively and put what they have learned into practice.
This introductory train-the-trainer course familiarises you with these concepts and gives you opportunities to apply them. You will not learn to coach football, but you will discover how to become an effective trainer who can communicate expertise clearly and support learning.
