For experienced Linux professionals, this second LPIC-1 course prepares you for the LPIC-1 102-500 exam, one of the requirements for LPIC-1 Linux Administrator certification. This Linux certification was established by the globally recognised Linux Professional Institute (LPI).
In LPIC-1 102, you will learn to use the shell, write simple scripts and manage graphical environments. You will also explore common administrative tasks and management of key Linux services, before covering networking and GNU/Linux system security.
A mock exam at the end of the course assesses your understanding across all topics. If you have passed LPIC-1 101-500, you can take the second exam, LPIC-1 102-500, included in our offer. Passing these 2 mandatory exams earns the LPIC-1 Linux Administrator professional certification.
Objectives
The Linux LPIC-1 102 course develops the ability to:

- Using cron timers and systemd to run tasks at regular intervals.

- Maintaining system time and synchronising clocks through NTP.
- Configuring Syslog and the logging daemon.

- Managing print queues and user print jobs with CUPS and the LPD compatibility interface.
